Step 1
Place the cartridge on a working bench.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the two
screws that hold the drum bearing end cap
onto the cartridge
(See photo 1).

Using a small flathead screwdriver, pry open
the bearing end cap
(See photo 2).
Remove
the drum bearing end cap
(See photo 3).

Step 3
Rotate the cartridge 180 degrees. Using a
Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws
that hold the end cap onto the contact side
of the cartridge
(See photo 4).

Lift and remove the drum from the waste
hopper
(See photo 7).
If you are planning to
reuse the OEM drum, place the drum in a
protected area out of the light.
Step 4
Using a small flathead screwdriver,
press and release the plastic tab that
holds the end cap onto the cartridge
(See photo 5).
Remove the end cap.

Carefully lift out the PCR
(See photo 8).
Clean the shaft of the PCR using a dry lint-
free cloth to remove any conductive grease.
Clean the PCR using a new dry lint-free
cloth
(See photo 9).

Once both end caps are removed,
the waste hopper and toner hopper
can be separated
(See photo 6).
Set
the toner hopper aside.

Remove the two screws holding the wiper
blade
(See photo 10).
Remove the wiper
blade and clean the blade using dry com-
pressed air.

Clean the waste hopper using dry com-
pressed air or a vacuum

Apply yellow toner (DRUMPOWDERCPT ) to
a new or once-used wiper blade. Place the
blade onto the waste hopper and install the
two screws that hold the blade in place
(See
photo 12).

Using a cotton swab with alcohol, clean the
PCR saddle. Apply new conductive grease
to the black conductive PCR saddle. Install
the PCR

Remove the gears from the end of
the toner hopper
(See photo 20).

Step 12
Apply yellow toner (DRUMPOWDERCPT) to
a new or once-used drum. Place the drum
onto the waste hopper so the drive gear of
the drum rests to the opposite of the PCR
contact side
(See photo 14).
Set the waste
hopper aside.

Remove the screw that holds the gear hous-
ing end cap to the toner hopper
(See photo

Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove
the screw that holds the developer
roller end cap
(See photo 21).

Insert a small flathead screwdriver between
the toner hopper and the gear housing end
cap
(See photo 16).
Carefully, pry the gear
housing end cap away from the toner hop-
per. This will break the sonic weld that holds
the end cap to the toner hopper

Hold the toner hopper so the label is facing
you. Using a small flathead screwdriver,
release the locking tab that holds the gear
housing end cap to the toner hopper
(See
photo 18).
Remove the gear housing end
cap

Remove the developer roller from the toner
hopper

from the end of the toner hopper

Clean the shaft of the developer
roller using a lint-free cloth to remove the
conductive grease. Clean the developer
roller first using dry compress air or a vacu-
um, then a lint-free cloth

degrees. Using a Phillips screwdriv-
er, remove the screw that holds the
developer roller contact end cap

Remove the devel-
oper roller contact end cap.

tor blade in place

Remove
the doctor blade.

Clean the doctor blade first using dry com-
press air and then place the doctor blade
into a cleaning fixture (DRCLEANFIX). Clean
the doctor blade using a lint-free cloth and
distilled water

from the axle of the supply roller on each
side of the toner hopper

Insert the insertion tool in between
the plastic base of the seal and the
pull strip

Install the provided drill bit into the drill and
tighten. Begin drilling using light pressure to
start hole.

NOTE: Too much pressure could cause
drill bit to grab and damage the hopper.
